Tiny Dancer

Ashley finished her dance class this week and they had a performance to show us everything that they had learned. It was adorable!

Little fish!

We have spent lots of time in our pool this summer and Ashley has become quite the little swimmer. They both LOVE the water and we are amazed at how well Ashley can swim now. Some of our favorite summer days are spent swimming and BBQing.

Yum, Yum!!

Aiden turned 6 months on Tuesday so, we broke open a jar of baby food to celebrate his 1/2 birthday! For his first real babyfood, we gave him peas and he didn't even stop until he finished the whole jar and then wanted his baby cereal too! It is pretty intense when it is his dinner time. You have to be ready to focus on him and have each bite ready for him right away. He loves to eat fast! He also had a baby teething cookie...good stuff!

My first TWO teeth!

About 3 weeks ago Aiden got his first two teeth. They came in a day apart. We knew he was teething but he did really well, it was very exciting to see those first pearly whites!

A trip to the Urgent Care

On Wednesday, Ashley woke up with a runny nose...no big deal until about 3p.m. Allen had taken the kids to visit with his grandparents and Ashley fell asleep on the couch at their house. When she woke up she sounded terrible with the horrible sounding croup cough. We took her to urgent care because we couldn't get in the doctor and we couldn't wait until the next day. She just didn't feel well at all. We got home gave her the medicine and we watched the clock, within 3o minutes of giving her the medicine the croup cough was gone. Amazing!! Aiden got the same cold the next night but didn't have the same croup symptoms. Allen took such good care of her while she was sick, today when she was telling me "she can't hear berrry well" (because her ears are plugged up from being sick) she needed to call daddy to tell him because if you ask Ashley, she says that daddy will know what to do.

Let's Play Heaven

Me: Ashley look at those clouds...aren't they amazing?
Ashley: Yes, they are.
Hey, I see papa and God.
I see them right there!!!!!
Do you see them?!?
Me: Yes, I do.
Ashley: Hi Papa and God (yelling)!!! Hey, they did not hear me!
Me: They always hear you.
Ashley: Hey they waved to me up in heaven!! Are they on every cloud?


Then we get in the pool and she continues...


Ashley: I know, let's play heaven.
Me: How do you play?
Ashley: I be God and you come to heaven
Me: Okay
Ashley: First we need a box....I know, how about a box made of flowers. That's a good idea.

Love my Pasta!

Ashley LOVES to cook fettuccine Alfredo with her "Ma Cheryl". It is one of her favorite meals. They make it for dinner almost every time Ashley goes over to play at their house.

Summer Days + Watermelon=Happiness

Ashley loves playing out front with her neighbor friends. The other day Allen brought out these huge pieces of watermelon and they loved it and I thought it was so cute! Aiden even got in on the action and he loved it too!
